Common Questions

How much does it cost to talk to an attorney about whether I have a case?

Nothing. Our firm consults with a potential client at no charge for the first meeting.

How are my legal fees paid?

How about legal expenses?

How much is my case worth?

It is impossible for us to tell immediately how much money, if any, you will recover in connection with your case. There is no formula and each case is unique. In cases of serious injury, the ultimate recovery is often related to the amount of insurance coverage available, as well as the nature, extent, and duration of your injuries, along with an assessment of liability.

As your attorneys, we feel it is our primary duty to obtain an amount of money which will fairly and justly compensate you for your injuries. However, you must know that there is never a guarantee of any recovery.

Who will work on my case?

Many people work for you at Kleinpeter & Schwartzberg. We have attorneys, legal assistants, secretaries, and investigators, all of whom may work on your case. Some of these people you will never see or have contact with. But we are all working to bring your case to a successful conclusion.

We have legal assistants to assist the attorney in working on your case. The legal assistants are an integral part of our team. Many times the attorney who is directly responsible for your case is out of the office or is working on other cases. You should know that any time you want to speak with the attorney who is responsible for your case, every attempt will be made to have that attorney call you directly at his/her earliest convenience.

What else should I know about my case?

Please see the General Instructions For Injury Clients document for more information regarding the handling of your case.
